Rushing A Fraternity As A Junior. This past week i've been to the events and had a genuinely awesome time with the people in there. The point is, people are unreliable and there is no better source than your own judgment.

As an advisor at a california university (ucla), age is not a big factor. However, there are a ton of juniors and seniors who wish they would have joined a fraternity when they were younger, but think the process is too involved to do as an upperclassman. So what do you guys think of rushing as a junior?
I Don't Know That Much About Fraternity Rushing But I Know When I Was In A Sorority We Did Tend To Favor Younger Girls A Little More Simply Because They'd Be In It For Longer, However, If We Really Liked The Girl She Could Have Def Gotten In Regardless Of Her Year.
I got a call today saying that i got a bid, and that there is a mandatory meeting for pledges tomorrow. Give it a shot man, i did the same thing, rushed first semester junior. Many juniors go thru recruitment (both sides) as most universities accept a large amount of transfers.
I Do Not Recall Any Rule In The Fraternity Preventing The Actives From Pledging A Junior.
The point is, people are unreliable and there is no better source than your own judgment. You'll be more likely to receive an invitation to return. It shouldn't affect your decision to rush.
It Isn't If You Are The Junior Who Is Chosing To Do So.
I pledge in my junior year at csu after i graduated from a community college. If you're a junior right now there are houses that you can go for but you'll be more limited. If they didn't, i would recommend going with a different fraternity.
However, There Are A Ton Of Juniors And Seniors Who Wish They Would Have Joined A Fraternity When They Were Younger, But Think The Process Is Too Involved To Do As An Upperclassman.
At the end of “rush week” the greek houses offer “bids” to the students that they. However, at a lot of schools, rushing as an upperclassman isn’t common, and really does require connections. He was given the bid because he was a cool guy that everybody liked.
